Cookies and other browser storage

Cookies are small pieces of information a website stores in your browser. Services can also use other forms of browser storage. These can support security, remember choices, or help personalize content and advertising.

The editor does not currently set its own login, analytics, or advertising cookies. This does not mean every page is cookie-free: embedded videos and security services have their own behavior. The site does not currently provide a site-wide cookie preference manager.

Services used on this site

Site and asset delivery — Cloudflare

Cloudflare handles requests for the website and editor assets. Its security services may use cookies when needed for protection. The bug-report form also uses Turnstile. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Embedded videos — YouTube

The homepage and MMV collection load embedded YouTube players when you visit them. YouTube can use cookies and process browser information, including in connection with your Google account if you are signed in. See Google’s cookie information.

External links — GitHub and Ko-fi

These services apply their own cookie and privacy choices when you follow a link to their websites. They provide the community tracker and optional financial support.

Manage cookies in your browser

Your browser’s privacy settings let you review or delete site data and block some or all third-party cookies. Blocking cookies can change how embedded players and security checks behave. Browser controls do not necessarily stop every network request to an embedded service.

To read help without opening a video page, go directly to the user guide. This page and the About, Contact, Privacy, and Release Notes pages do not embed YouTube players.

Advertising choices

Google advertising code is not currently loaded by these pages. If AdSense is enabled, Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on visits to this and other websites. Personalized Google advertising preferences can be managed in My Ad Center; participating third-party vendors’ choices are explained by YourAdChoices.
